Convert Sick Leave into Service Credit

When you retire, you may be able to use all or part of your unused sick leave to convert it into service credit. Additional credited service is granted for earned, but unused sick leave. Members may use a maximum of 14 months to qualify for early or normal retirement. However, this credit cannot be used to meet the minimum retirement eligibility requirements for age.
